THE MAN WHO MADE A DIFFERENCE FOR MANY WHO HAD NOONE ELSE:
Christopher L. Vogelsang, 38, of Schaffer Ave in Syracuse, died Sunday, February 28 at University Hospital. Chris was born and raised in North Syracuse and resided in the Lyncourt/Eastwood area for the past 10 years. He was a graduate of Cicero-North Syracuse High and was recently attending Columbia University. Chris had worked in food preparation for several restaurants in the Syracuse area for many years including Jreck Subs in Liverpool for the past year as a chef. He was a member of the Alcoholics Anonymous at Fellowship Hall in Eastwood and enjoyed spending time with his family. Chris was a movie buff as well as an amateur mechanic.
Surviving are his wife of eight years, the former Kathleen (Riley); four sons: Michael, Vincent, Paul and Mikey; his parents: Gerald and Elizabeth Vogelsang of North Syracuse; two sisters: Janice (Jim) Vogelsang of Oswego and Valerie Vogelsang of North Syracuse; and a niece and nephew: Juliet and Jeremy.
Friends may call Friday from 6-8:30pm at Krueger Funeral Home Inc., 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale. A Funeral Service will follow at 8:30 pm. Private burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Cemetery, Warners. Contributions may be made to the Vogelsang family c/o Krueger Funeral Home.

Some believe in life on other planets, and some were just born different. Over two decades ago Andrew Kirchner a.k.a. Dose the Alien crash landed on earth seeking a life of his own. Lucky for us, He found music and continues pushing his genius across the world. With a background in music theory and production he has a taste and ability to play almost any instrument you can hand him. With years of piano training and roots in Rock and Dance music since the early 90's D74 has pushed the envelope of his sounds to find his own unique flavor.
Setting out to create his own unique sound and fueled by the Industrial sound of the time, his first album was released in the spring of 1990 and was full of hard hitting industrial beats, heavily distorted guitars, and ripping synth lines. The Music Press voted the debut album " Best Industrial Album" and voted Dose "Best Industrial Artist" by their readers.
2008 has been no different than any other year of his career. In January he headlined “Intense 2008” in Quebec City with Slinky Recording Artist Lee Haslam and Tidy Traxx Recording Artist Amber D. His Label Visionary Mindz hosted one of the four main stages last July at this years World Electronic Music Festival, booking DJs and Live Acts from all over the Northeast US and Canada. In July of 2008 he relocated to his new home of Miami Florida and Launched his second record Label "Intermission Ltd". The new label will cater to the Glitch Tech & Techno Genres and to date has releases from the likes of John Lagora, Kevin Over and ATOM.

wow heavy things - good to celebrate life - it's what my family did when my dad passed - we had a huge kegger with his fav foods including hot wings and kielbasa w sauerkraut!
pumping up the PLUR energy in the space, we can all send it to the grieving family with intentions for loving support - some amazing energy work is done on the floor at these events - powerful stuff! getting in touch with tribal ancestral roots - connecting to ourselves, the earth, the heavens. rock it out in beautiful manifestation!

Im really glad that the EDM scene could come together to help this guy out because he went out of his way to help alot of kids growing up around syracuse..
