I would say go with a the cheapest model of Pioneer CDJs.. I think the 400s? Then you would need some sort of mixer, I'm sure you could get a cheap one for maybe 100-200 bucks.

There are also software programs for the computer that emulate DJing with CDJS/turntables, so if you don't know if you want to invest in the actual thing or not.

well, I've used vinyl Numarks for a while; and yes you could certainly start off on them. They don't really have a good touch response though, and you'll probably want to go with a digital format. So the first one would be the better of the two options.. although I have like 4 crates of old vinyl (lots of trance) that you can dig through. =)
