Sweet! Tonium this morning unveiled the next generation of their portable handheld DJing machine Pacemaker with this superbly colorful video on YouTube.
With a 60GB hard drive and lots of intuitive DJing functionality, the new Pacemaker promises to take DJ culture mainstream, onto the streets (and anywhere else for that matter).
The video is great fun and the new Pacemaker has a mightily impressive list of features that will satisfy even the DJs amongst us who take their craft seriously.
Oh yeeesss, it feels good to touch!
The new Pacemaker has auto-beatmatch, timestretch and looping for plenty of hands-on mixing control. You can also set and save cue points, and there is a headphones crossfader and a stuttering DJ pause.
Audio effects wise, there’s plenty to get dirty with including reverb, echo, delay and roll, as well as hi-pass and lo-pass filters, wah and crush.
Each track also has a three-band EQ, and temporary gain per track (although the Pacemaker also offers normalized sound to avoid sudden changes in volume when mixing between tracks).
The 60GB hard drive will be plenty of storage for DJs, and the new Pacemaker also allows you to save your mixes and then transfer them to the web later using the Pacemaker Editor (which has editing functionalities). You can also publish mixes on Pacemaker’s mix community website mix.pacemaker.net to share them with others.
The new Pacemaker is due to be released in May, check where to get yours at: www.pacemaker.net

Why would you want to use that in a club? wtf
"Many of the world’s top DJs such as Pete Tong, Richie Hawtin, Axwell, Judge Jules, Deadmau5 and many more are all using Pacemakers, leading Richie Hawtin to say that Pacemaker will ‘do for dance music what guitars did for rock ‘n’ roll’."
a little off subject, but was there rock n roll before guitars? lol.... maybe he should have said electric guitars?
There just making a point.

The house is coming along I guess...
The kitchen is done, bathroom next, then rooms. Studio will be one of the last done sadly.
I'm definitely getting a pacemaker though |
