Ok.. I see everyone's issues. These two opinions stuck out completely. I really went off the handle.. That is why this party is about to do a serious 180. I'm not close minded, I've booked a lot of dubstep. Maybe it was my musical root that were laid by bands like NoFX, Lagwagon, Cannibal Corspe.. When I came into the scene, I was instantly drawn tbo dnb. The first dj to open my ears and make me take notice to anything but main room trance was seeing DJ Milkdud at an event in Binghamton called Swift. The first event making a HUGE impact on me (please don't call me old) Is seeing the footsouljah's at thirdgroove in ithaca, Most of m first three doing Quikk Fixx/Promotion, I promoted Chicago Hard House (now known as Jump Style), Hardcore, Hard Trance, Dnb and Happy Hardcore. I perfer louder, faster tempo upbeat stuff. Though I have always gone out of my way to preserve the old school vibe of a Chill room. So, CNY.. No.. Might I say, New York. Let me lay down a call.. Bass enthusists, near, far, you like dubstep? You like dnb? You like Bass? Let your voices be heard. I'm holding a call.. Better yet, I'm taking a play from the WWE Playbook, Even better.. Issueing a challenge to some dubstep heads out there to throw down a killer set along side a DNB Don and open my ears, as well as everyone else's ears to some Dubstep. So, drop me a message, get your nastiest records and come rep at this event. If you are a party kid/raver/bass enthusist and you are down with dubstep, I'm asking that you come out and cut and seriously f*cking rug at this event. It's time go put dubstep on the map or kick it to the curb. In addition to killer sets by Bryan Gee, D'Militant and Stateside Jump-Up. I'm issuing 2 dubstep challenge sets, more commonly know as 15 mins of fame. Swanson, Mikey Parkay, I think you two will should most definately represnt the CNY dubstep sounds. I'm looking for nominations or people to step up and teach an old dog news tricks. By the end of this event, I might be the one on the floor getting down to dubstep. Who's got it and who is going to bring the roof down? It's time to open the doors of this event. It's time cny.. For some dubstep.

While im an enthusiast of Dubstep.. I think the sound can be more properly represented by Swan7, Kate Rush, and Swamptang.. They are the original Og's for it up here.. Ive just been finding my way through the crowd still and finding my personal taste within it.. Those kids all got there styles down and can fully push what people are looking for..

Todd you know i love ya buddy, and your parties. Ive prolly been to more GAC parties than anyone on these forums, most likely because ive been to prolly every single one of them. It just hurt me when you were dissing a certain genre because you have never done that before.

I will come and shred the shit out of your dance floor once again. =)

I understand what you are saying, but I think this is a misrepresentation of the venue.. Though, The venue was converted to liveable quarters upstairs, It was formally a bottle return center, Storage Center, then, antique shop and is zoned for what we are using it for. Very similar to how Button's Arcade was used from 2000-2002. However, this IS a private venue that open to all we know and all in the know week after week.. with 4 people who have very different personalities and music preferences.. ALL sounds are welcome. Not just what I dig. Upstate New York has a place for Great arge Scale Events : Trexx.. It's THE LARGEST CLUB in Syracuse and that's a fact. We are lucky to have it. But, Fort Chaos is a place for the underground to Chill. It's like when Top music acts go on Stadium/Arena tours.. Then go on Club/Small venue tours. Bryan and UMC Agency know what this venue is, For someone who began dropping records back when dnb was still acid house and the only venues around UK were people's basements and dive bars that had no IDEA what was going on, He's excited to be right in the middle of everyone getting down. I suggest you ALL check out Fort Chaos in the next comming weeks and definately peep our New Lighting and House Sound System and a dnb legend playing in the most intimate venue you'll be able to see him in, probably ever.

I think I was a little thrown and a WHOLE LOT of sour because three of the last 4 parties I've been to, dubstep ruined the vibe for me. The crowd was dancing, people were smiling, then peoples heads turned with a "WHAT THE f*ck?" Look and the dance floor clears. Back in the day I was never a fan of deep house or minimal techno but it never knocked me out of my groove as hard as dubstep did. Shit, I remember being sooooo excited to see Plastikman at Boo (Near the end of his set and the end of the party.. to his defense) only to hear that his set very much like his licenced mixes.. Very Minimal and Spacy.. I figured a huge dj like that with a midnight slot in front of thousands would be killing us with prime times techno. Nope. But it's never knocked me out of the party mode like dubstep.

Yup.. I'm getting old and getting low on time. Everyone who knows me outside of the Rave Scene knows that the thing I love most is spending time with my family. Promotions should be done by someone who has the time, can take finacial risks without making his kids quality of life lower, putting can put the best foot forward and make something the scene can be proud of. While I used to be able skip meals to save for flyers, pay my bills late, put liens on my cars, This is something I can no longer do. This is realisticly the last year I will be able to take a bit of time and put it towards something I would put my name on. With the great events that have been happening, I don't think CNY will miss a beat, Quikk Fixx 10 is the finishline. See you there.

I was gonna say something, but didnt want to discredit any of the others above.

With all respect to the others that play dubstep, Basha was really the one doing it "exclusively" before anyone up here if i remember correct..
