| Bears defense is scary. If the Giants offense doesnt pick it up this weekend I predict Coughlin out by mid-season. Team is 4-11 since mid season last year and coaching has been an issue the last 3 seasons. |

You sound like me since before the super bowl year...
Coughlin is done after this season no matter what... He wont be canned, though, they'll ask him to step down... John Fox is in, as he's got an in with the Mara family and his contract expires at the end of the season... I'm taking all bets on this... |

And yeah the Chiefs are playing like a team with their hair on fire. Although I'm not sold on them yet until they play a few real deal competitors. |

^ i dunno... the Chefs beat the only good team in their division on opening night... They also beat a tough 49ers that is loaded with talent, but lacking in an offensive identity...
They're well coached, fast at the RB position and well fed with the best BBQ in the nation... Plus when they're at home, if the team is good, they're almost impossible to beat because Arrowhead is easily the loudest stadium in the NFL. If i'm a KC fan i'm stoked, but skeptical because they're a little young...

They will give a few teams headaches down the stretch but like you said they are young and inexperienced. Their division is one of the weakest in the league right now and San Diego is notorious for their terrible starts.
People get too excited in the beginning of the season. So many are already down my throats about the Giants being shit at the moment but its only week 4 and noone is running away with that division.
You assholes can slow it down with the "witty" text messages during Giants flumps in other words  |

| I gotta say the AFC east is better top to bottom than the other three... Jets and 'Fins defense can stop ANYONE, and we'll see as the NFC north teams play the AFC east teams this year... (Fins already stuck it to the Vikes already..) The bills aren't as slouchy as they have been, and the Pats are the Pats... |

I was happy to see the NY defense from 2007 show up. by the end of the game there were 10 sacks and 16 hits on the qbs.
2 qbs injured and good yards on the ground for NY against a stellar defense.
Giants football...it's about time. |

Pats were just seeing the inevitable... Moss wasn't resigning with them, so you might as well get what you can outta him HWHILE you have him... I just pulled a move like this off in madden, getting rid of potentially over priced Free agents in the last year of their contract imo is a smart move, and you never know, they could end up back there the next year cheaper and humbled.... Honestly, besides the Vikes, who have a history of letting their 'stars' hold them hostage, what currently successful team would sign Moss as a F.A. this off-season? (and that's not even taking into consideration the labor issues the NFL is having, which would hamper his getting signed even further...)
I don't see the vikes gaining anything except for a more open center of the field, because Moss will stretch the field and make the SS cover Moss' side of the hash... Remember, the M.O. of EVERY Fav-ruh team is play hard, have fun, and make a stupid mistake(s) towards the end. (See: Tracy Porter, Corey Webster, the "wonderful" clock management of Super Bowl 31, and the one season with the Jets)
And you know.... Moss, Farve, and every other Diva end up having karma bite them in the ass at the end of the story... So if i'm a bears or packers fan, i'm not worried... How many rings have those guys won? (Favre = 1 SB ring with a DOMINANT Packer team in 21 total seasons... Moss = 0) Don't drink up all that ESPN kool-aid, Vogs! |

Well the way I look at it. The Vikes lacked a big play reciever with Sidney Rice injured for half the season. Now Farve has all the underneath targets (Shiancoe, Harvin etc.) who will now be more open with Farve's big arm. If Moss is covered one on one he is going to make the plays. Not to mention they will have Rice back soon enough on the other side and Adrian Peterson in the backfield. That offense is going to be disgusting as long as the O-Line there picks it up.
I agree with what you are saying though about the financial aspect of it. I thought the Pats could compete for the division with Moss but if they were this confident getting rid of him they probably have another reciever lined up. I heard rumors they are trying to get Deon Branch back from Seattle. Hes not Moss but at least hes someone who can stretch the field.
Vikings were one big play away from going to the Super Bowl last year and the team is pretty much the same so we will see.
I went Vikes vs. Jets as preseason picks for SB but with Rice out that all changed. Now they look nastier than last year by alot. |
