one day people will have to learn to not release location details of the event until the week of. That kind of publicity with the location being in the newspaper weeks before the show only means trouble.
Its obvious that the state does not like what we do...you cant just give it to them on a silver platter anymore. |

my guess was it wasnt "paid" advertisement. It was tied in with a story related to a shooting the week prior and it happened to make the front page.
Regardless, we want to call it "underground"? Lets make it underground. You want to try and pull a sick hotel venue like that?
People are coming for the vibe. They arent going to be turned away if you hold out on the location details until the last moment.
50+ some odd squad cars taking their stake in local lots surrounding the venue can be avoided with a little "underground" promotion. That had to take the officials weeks to plan to shut down.
Stick it to the man and make it hard for them to react. 1 week is all patrons need to plan it.
1 patron spoke to a diner directly across the street whose lot was flooded with police cars, the person asked "how long did they give you notice they would need your lot for all these squad cars?"
the waiter said "1 week". They were planning it.
