PS while todd was a great promoter..
Dose the alien , Jordan vesteyo, Sneak e pete, Todd kilmer, Lou & Vibrantsoundz, Dames & the Y2k movement..
Your forgetting an integral part of the community..
Todd threw away half his life trying to appease kids who never appreciated him, lost tens of thousands of dollars and cried himself to sleep many nights..
I learned my lesson after the great many rave events that lose money EVERYTIME we throw them.. People dont wanna pay 20$ for a show with Bad Boy Bil anymore..
I threw ABSOLUTELY FREE SHOWS w/ Bad Boy Bill, UBerzone, Rennie Pilgrem, Dozens of artists at lava for FREE and people complained because they coudlnt wear hats.. Like really?
Just remember weve all been a huge part of the "rave" scene and it never really did much for any of us cept cost us thousands of dollars..
WHen I helped DJ sneak for FREE and only 15 of the area's people showed up I offically got sick to my stomach.. and lost interest in doing "just" raves..

| Yeah that Lava thing was insane. We made it out for BBB which wasn't half bad. Then we went to the Humpty Vission one. WOW it blew my mind that only like 10 people were there. IT WAS FREE in the nicest club most of Upstate NY will ever see. |

jesus brandon, we all obviously dont WANT Todd to retire. and we all know and respect the amazing shit he's done for this scene.
but he has a life besides the scene that he may want to focus on at least for a while. be happy for him! |

I think maybe what you arent understanding is Todd is choosing to leave this scene for personal reasons. He isnt leaving out of spite.
Quik Fixx was a great annual event in Upstate NY and like everything else it came to an end. He knows how good his events were and if I had to make a bet it would probably be that he doesnt want to feel obligated to have to do anymore for this scene after 10 years.
Dude is getting married in July and I fully support him leaving to focus on the more important things in his life for a while.
Yes, there ARE more important things to life then throwing events, djing, and dancing. |

This is why I don't flow with this new agenda. Passionate people who want to build a "scene" or "movement" don't exist. Shit like this is poisonous to the culture. I don't agree with it and I'm not going to sit there working with unpassionate people who already have success. I'd rather sit there watching all of your guys' ships sink and start fresh than work with any of you who don't give a f*ck. Maybe, ideal circumstances are, that's what needs to happen.

As much credit I give.. All of these guys are not Syracuse based, Syracuse born and raised, Only doing CNY shows. I could do a show in NYC, or at least spread to all upstate cities, but I keep it here, keep it close. Even when I started and Binghamton had a lock on most shows, instead of doing a show there, I did it here.. and it's been here ever since. |
