For making said gaping wounds you will require: slush latex (mask latex), cotton, fx blood, grease paint make up, or just buy a bruise wheel make up kit for 10 bucks, 2 good brushes, and a blow dryer. The trick is, you want to make layers. Then once the wound is done, its a matter of blending the make up to make flesh tones look alike. You need a thin brush for veining, you make them by doing figure eights with the brush very lightly.

1. While on the walk please do not touch any pedestrians. Be scary, and do anything you wish to act out the role, but do not physically interact with them in any way shape, or form.
2. Please obey all Utica City pedestrian street laws.
3. No open containers of alcohol.
4. We ask that all participants stick together as a group, for a higher entertainment and theatrical value. With this said we must also ask that everyone be at the start point and ready to go at the designated time. We do not want to leave any of our undead legion behind, but we will.

The total of the three previous year's monetary donations raised was $2,151.00. This we will focus more on the food drive aspect of the event. We donated 400lbs of non-perishable food items and 111 pet food items as a result of last year’s pet/human food drive, and the need is still persistent and great in the area for such services. We should still aim to donate a monetary sum as well, which will be evenly split between the two charities.

PHASE 2:
THE ESCAPE PLAN: A ZOMBIE TRAIN RIDE AND DANCE PARTY
You thought the Adirondacks were safe from a zombie attack? Well, guess again! After this year’s Utica Zombie Walk at the Uptown Theater the horde will be making its way to Union Station and onto the train that’s trying to escape the infestation. The train, originally making its way for the Adirondacks to escape the horde, will stop in Remsen to meet with reinforcements. Little does the crew know that there will be no one waiting for them at the depot because the zombies got to them first! In a last ditch effort… the conductor will turn the train back to Utica because he knows nothing but trouble is waiting for him in the Adirondacks.
The fully decorated train will feature the DJs: PHUNgEYE, Vogel & DA. There will be a snack and wet bar (featuring Finger Lakes wine and New York State craft brews. (The Zombie Train is a 21+ event)

I'm 100% with Parkay on this one.
Except for a few situations, there has been a great positive effort to avoid stepping on other events (datewise) here in the Utica/Syracuse region.
I hope that Kyle can reschedule, especially since we are 7 months away.

Most Utica kids cant afford 2x shows in one weekend?
Was really hoping to avoid conflict this year as it seems to have worked out well in the past with coordinating events at least 1 weekend apart?
Sorry, nothing I can do about that. This is the only time that works on my schedule. Not sure if we are doing a "Raving Dead" party with it or not yet. I posted this in the promoter forum like 2 weeks ago and didn't rec' a response from you. |

| It'll be OK Micheals. The walk is usually around sunset/later afternoon for maximum creepy zombie vibe. I know I will be tired for it, and less apt to pull long hours at the walk, but I can do both, and the same is true for our good friends :) |

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - Utica Police say bath salts are to blame for a women attempting to bite an officer and telling people she wanted to eat them.
Police officers responded to Stanley's Bar on Court Street to find an emotionally disturbed woman, age 41, witting on the stairs. Police say she was sweating profusely with a blank stare.
When the officer proceeded to ask the woman what was wrong, she became aggressive by lunging at him and attempted to bite him. As the police officer restrained woman, she continued to scream that she wanted to kill someone and eat them.
The woman was taken by ambulance to St.Luke Hospital for a mental health evaluation and medical treatment.
It was later determined that the woman was under the influence of the synthetic drug known as "bath salts".
Police said they will not release the woman's name and charges may be filed at a later date.
This is the second local incident related to Bath Salts in less than a week, and adds to a growing number of violent, erratic assaults allegedly related to the drug reported nationally. It is clear that state and federal governments will have to take some kind of hardline action now that this wave of inhumane behavior has garnered national media attention. What action exactly, is yet to be determined. |

MIAMI, Fla. — Rudy Eugene, the so-called Causeway Cannibal, was not on "bath salts" or any other exotic drug when he chewed off the face of a homeless man last month, according to toxicology results released Wednesday.
Tests on the 31-year-old's body show only marijuana in his system at the time of the May 26 attack, according to the Miami-Dade County Medical Examiner.
Ruled out were synthetic marijuana, LSD, amphetamines, PCP, heroin, oxycodone, several other street drugs and alcohol, the ME reported in a news release.
To complete its examination, the ME's office said it sought help from an outside forensic toxicology lab. "Within the limits of current technology by both laboratories, marijuana is the only drug identified in the body of Mr. Rudy Eugene," the ME's office said.
Eugene, who was naked, attacked Ronald Poppo as the 65-year-old vagrant dozed under the MacArthur Causeway. He was stopped only when a Miami police officer shot him to death. More than half of Poppo's face, from his forehead to his upper lip, was chewed off.
Poppo remains at Jackson Memorial Hospital, where doctors are working to rebuild his face.
The gruesome attack became a worldwide sensation, and sparked widespread speculation that Eugene must have been under the influence of an unknown drug.
One of the first mentions of bath salts came within hours of the incident, and may have been sparked by a comment from Armando Aguilar, the president of Miami's Fraternal Order of Police. In talking about new drugs that police were seeing on the street, Aguilar said that Eugene's bizarre and violent behavior could have been caused by something like bath salts.
"There is no doubt in anybody's mind the guy was on something or he was totally insane," Aguilar said Wednesday.
Although toxicology tests searched for many known drugs and compounds, Aguilar said further investigation may be warranted. "My guess is that this is a drug they don't know the compounds of yet," he said.
In trying to explain Eugene's horrific behavior, even his family and loved ones theorized that he must have been on some drug, perhaps slipped to him without his knowledge.
Yovonka Bryant, who said she was Eugene's girlfriend the last four months of his life, said earlier this month that she never knew Eugene to be violent. She said that if Eugene had been on anything other than marijuana, he would not have taken it willingly.
"It is not a shock to me that they would only find marijuana," Bryant, 27, of Miramar said Wednesday. "So I'm glad it was cleared up that he was not using drugs, but it just leaves more questions.
"It's a puzzle. The hard part is not knowing why. Obviously something went wrong in his mind."
Maj. Delrish Moss, a spokesman for the Miami Police, said he hoped the medical examiner's report would end speculation that bath salts, a mind-altering hallucinogen, had possessed Eugene to attack Poppo.
Moss said he also hoped the ME's report would correct reports that official police department spokesmen — and not union officials — were the source of the bath salts rumors.
"The Miami police have never said bath salts," said Moss. "Al-Jazeeraeven called us on this. But we did not notice an uptick in the use of bath salts before this, and in fact I never heard the term before this."
Since Eugene's attack, several other incidents in which people have taken off their clothes and become violent have been reported in various parts of the U.S. In the some of those cases, drugs were known to be a factor.
Although many South Florida cities have been crafting laws aimed at curbing the use of sythetic drugs, publicity generated by Eugene's attack on Poppo has added urgency to those efforts.
Earlier this week, Lauderhill became the first city in Broward to ban bath salts. Commissioners approved a ban on synthetic marijuana the same night.
Broward County, Miami-Dade County, Hollywood, Margate and North Lauderdale are considering bans on both bath salts and synthetic marijuana.
