seriously. people really need to get educated if they're gonna claim to like edm. i remember when i took my first edm test... i BARELY passed. i felt like such a scrub. but, then i studied my ass off.. retook the test.. got an A - AND a motherfuckin gold star.
now i only associate with gold star club members. which reminds me.. imma have to see all your gold star club member cards when you get a chance please. thanks.

i'd like to see..... some new talent.
not like new new.. but the new that hasn't been spining every other party in central new york for the past 3 years. seriously... every party has been pretty much the same with the exception of one decent headliner.
remember when Richard Humpty Vision spun the action sports center?

so you expect promoters to
a) pay big bucks for everyone on the lineup? b) book people they have never heard play before or dont bother to give out demos? c) just walk down the street and ask if by chance people know how to dj? d) book people who they know and trust that people have heard of and like?
thanks for the opinion. i got a lot from it :)
there is a reason why local dj's are called local. |

no no no. i was commenting on how local djs mess up too. yeah r.h.v. messed up. but at least it was a new face. and still a banging party regardless of his 'f' ups. i'm not saying everyone on the line up needs to be ballers. but for shits sake... mix it up... go out on a limb. it just seems like the promoters are playing it so safe that we're all missing out on a better time. (but still, respect to the promoters) |

thats the word but you never know, i might be one of those overplayed locals that everyone is bitching about. even though my track selection dates from 2000 to now... maybe its because i stay true to what i like? :D or maybe i should shut up, doesnt matter. im at work bored out of my mind, hahaha |

of coarse local djs mess up but when im paying a dj at least $1000 for 1 hour..... i kinda expect them not to screw up... pathetic really. major headliner not even able to spin a set w/out a trainwreck... fuck that. its not as bad as pleasurehead @ the asylum: trainwrecked, then took the record off the deck, and walked out of the club. HILARIOUS. |
