| Yup I agree with WOO, tracktor is dope though. I love Serato, I honestly believe that programs like tracktor and Serato are well worth the money. I used to spend 100$ for 8-9 records. Now $100 is like 50-100 tracks. |

| Umm Hawtin is by far the most boring dj I have ever seen live. That is really saying something. I guess at 5am he would be cool. |

| Richie Hawtin--BORING!? you gotta be kidding me... just saw him 4-6am in Miami & it was probably top three of the most moving and energetic club crowds I've ever seen... completely packed & everybody moving & enjoying themselves the entire time...anyone else who was there would second that. those bass lines are way too good for me to ever consider Richie Hawtin boring... |

SSL is amazing if you can drop another $1000 on a beefy laptop and $500 on the program. And that's just to start you off.
I have 2 stanton str8 100s and 2 pioneer CDJ 700s, I really cannot afford to just make the complete switch just yet. At least not anytime soon. |

people don't get techno, which is a fucking shame. I'm starting to like it more and more. dubstep has a LOT of cross over dub techno sounding stuff, it's fucking great.

gotta drop a line on this one....RITCHIE HAWTIN (PLASTIKMAN) can be boring if you are d/l'ing a live mix but you really have to be there to experience what a dj can do using track selection as his main weapon and in this respect Hawtin is the man. Noone does it better. I can make an argument for Mirco or Tall Paul, but i love Hawtin.
Andy C ....elite. I F*CKING HATE his MC though. HATE, HATE, HATE. He ruins every live mix i ever d/l from Andy C. The MC should NOT be the spotlight when you are as talented as Andy C and I am no jump-up fanatic. F*ck a "REEEWIND" every 30 seconds. I'll shoot babies. No lie |

now i only associate with gold star club members. which reminds me.. imma have to see all your gold star club member cards when you get a chance please. thanks.

yo - I use TRAKTOR and it is the shit. I learned how to mix by myself with my laptop and midi controller (no vinyl). I would highly recommend it to anyone who digs electronic music.
And everyone I know who learned on vinyl uses Serato now or Traktor scratch when they gig out. The benefit of Serato is that the software is free and available for download (It's the hardware that costs $$). More and more bars have serato so you can just hook up your laptop and use their hardware. Had I known beforhand, I would have probably gone this route...but I'm pretty happy with traktor tho.
I'm a big fan of raver type techno, Hawtin is definitely the man. But he is edgy and does push the sound forward so I can see where that would be off-putting to some people. |
