| I think your missing the point, you cant just take someone's work and use it as your own. It's not about being sued its about being a professional and knowing the in's and out's of your craft. Again lets not dwell on pointless drama. |

ethically speaking, sure maybe its "NOT good". But people do that to give their parties a theme all the time. If I spent a good 20 minutes on here looking for it I could find plenty of parties in more urban areas that completely rip the original art of other people and never get bothered for it.
The point is to THEME your party effectively noone is going to sue you as a small time promoter and Swan's flyer definetly had a +1 in the style department.

Do you have the guys permission you have on the cover to put him on there?
FYI if a design is altered its not the original, therefore its not copyrite infringement. I seen him piece the flyer together myself.

| 1st of all ive been workin on it for 3 weeks, all i needed was the info and it would have been done b4 wemf...so i dont want to hear any time constraints...clearly yours only took a day to make. i worked hard on mine, and i was never going to take credit for steadmans work. i was even going to write something about him cause he is an inspiration..and i never said that i made that art. steadman illustration+ s7 graphic design=dope flyer. i guess i get upset when i offer to do a sick flyer for free then someone else does a wack flyer instead...for no reason, my 12 year old nephew can do that shit. noone knows quality design and style when they see it. the feed the dj flyer comes to mind...i offered my skillz for free but yet someone else does a clown ass flyer. copyright problems, more like u guys asked to many ppl to do it. next time just ask me......dont wory about copyright, man i thought you kids were gonzo all the way. im gonna post the flyer again, just so ppl can see. ill take get bent off of it tho. peace |

Side note: Djinn did you create the image of Hunter S in your flyer? It just seems a bit hypocritical to be going on a copyright rant and to be using someone else's interpretation in yours. I feel artwork and music should be free and shared as much as possible, so I am really a nialist (don't care) when it comes to this type of thing.
