I can only imagine the painful amount of comps that this number of djs on a line up produces.

well if there wasnt that many comps, then the +1's prolly wouldnt have come out (out of town performers +1's)
so it wouldnt really matter. we know there will be at least 80 cats there even if there comped. we feel that djs deserve to bring a guest and we embrace that. i know it would be nice if they pay but it sucks when promoters are anal about comps. (like at past events i performed at and couldnt even get my girl in with me **cough cough) that looks un pro. especially if the people that should get comped dont even go to the party cuz there not comped.....ya dig? |

Lol if your referring to quikk fixx.. pretty sure everyone got there comp mate.. Thing is really.. Preparty only covers DJS not Djs to preparty Guest and then main party and guest that would basically mean you got 4 entries into everything regarding quikk fixx which is more than the Headliners got.. Things dont work like that man.. If you had to should have worked out a deal to get paid at the pre party allowing you to pay for the main event.. Its how ALL real events work..
ON TOP of that you guys have yet to throw more than a 5000$ event.. Any Todd or I Do far exceed your budget by ALOT.. and its unforunate most DJS/Guests still dont understand that or want to compinsate there "Demands" knowing that.. You didnt perform AT QUIKK FIXX thus you arent allowed a Dj Comp.. pretty basic theory.. As a DJ on the pre lineup you got to enter.. I mean really who doesnt bring 20$ with them gheesh, Pretty stingy with those bills swan I cant lie.. I could go on and on about you still owing me 10$ for infected mushroom tickets you told me 30$ when I specifically told you 20 each as A BREAK too.. pretty unprofessional to never come correct on that either.. but we let it slide based on the fact you dont have money
We gave out over 40 Free Entries into quikk fixx that costed us almost 1000$.. pretty damn nice if you ask me.. |

I agree fully with the arangement that only one comp (for the artist) for the pre- event. If our crew was more involved in the finanical aspect of QF9 I may have a different opinion.
Also, yes the lineup is scaled down from last years big DI event. The reason being
a. the economy
b. we actually want to break even/make money on this event, fire wasn't about that at all. it was about the epic conclusion of a series.
c. we want to expose upcoming talent/very talented locals instead of huge headlining acts that have "already made it".
I can tell you what though, the vibe will be just as strong if not better than last years big DI event, we are constantly learning from our mistakes in previous years and working very hard to improve on them.

I got no hard feelings towards swanny he knows that but calling the kettle black on unprofessionalism is not something im down with...
That quikk Fixx event was extremely professional and every dj there left getting paid,(Main Event) Even ones I didnt agree to pay got 25-40$.. So im a little soured when duders complain about not getting freebies they didnt deserve and know they didnt deserve.. That gets old fast.. specially when your throwing down 8-10000$ and its only 20$ a head which even was a HUGE break from normal 25-30$ parties at that price..
UPstate really has no fucking clue how good yall got it.. THAT SAME PARTY in conneticut with ZERO headliners was 30$ tickets.. that very same night |

yeah, comps are always painful. Considering the amount of promotion that has gone into this event, I am confident our turnout will belittle the amount of comps given.

yeah, comps are always painful. Considering the amount of promotion that has gone into this event, I am confident our turnout will belittle the amount of comps given.
I remember @ EARTH (june 2005 w. Os2 @ Paladin 5.1) we had the displeasure of having basically every dj in every local crew comped. needless to say we lost out huge on that one! (still a fun party tho.)

Ya trust me kyle I wasnt downing the party I was just complmenting it saying that it was exactly what weve been trying to make due with upstate.. Solid locals/Upcoming producers and lots of music variations.. I just counted the djs on it and was Like holy shit 41-42 djs/mcs damn thats alot for a party @ trexx.. pretty sure thats the most ever been there before.. on a lineup kinda wierd seeing that, Really wasnt any need to AMP up the party anymore than its been.. Nobody was degrading the lineup or the Vibe or the possiblity of it being kool.. So dont stress |

KarboKane is having surgery close to the date of our event, and will be unable to fly up to NY due to the recovery time involved. We have, already filled the slot with someone a couple of you may have heard of.. Someone who has rocked almost every DI party to date!
