14 out of 20 songs are his?
So I can assume more than half of this set sounds almost exactly the same.
I at one point loved Deadmau5.. But then he put out like 40 Prog tracks (Pretty much all sucked) And I dont care what anyone says ALL of his progressive sounds the same.
Im all about producers having thier own sound so you can tell when they made a track. But damn. |

I just saw PVD and AVB play and 95% of what they spun were there originals that all sounded the sameand people dont hate on them. I agree his progressive stuff might be suspect at times but have you checked out his other material? Did you check out at the live video on his site from wireless?
It appears the deadmau5 is the New Michael Jackson of the 1980's. If you asked around back then EVERYONE hated his material yet somehow he still managed to sell millions of records.  |

when was the last time you saw him PERFORM? I saw him last night and outta his entire set maybe 30 minutes included tracks like "faxing berlin." the other hour and a half was the sickest jacking minimal and electrotech i think i have ever heard.
you might not like him as a producer, but dont hate on him becasue he outsells everyone else. nobody forces anyone to go buy the newest deadmau5 track. if you have someone to hate in this situaton, hate the people the buy it, or go punch the next dj that you hear play "faxing berlin" for the 20,000,000 time. In the end the guy is just an artist doing his thing. |

I only seen him at wemf. It was a decent show, but it didn't make me wanna move, or listening closely. I don't hate on his production/sales, good for him in that regard, but I just do not like his sound.
What 2/3 songs do you think I should listen to again to change my mind, or at least get a specific argument going? |

For starters....
Look at who he has signed recently signed to his label mau5trap. You have to figure that the people that he has signed is what he really cares about as an artist and the sound he wants to push right? This is what hes been playing, so go listen to the first release on his label since April 4th of this year. It can be found here....
