| im almost outta flyers will def be calling u ReRocco sometime this weekend, i havent even begun to pass em out lol! i got you mikey! as per always im hittin the streets of the UC! and i havent been able to get in touch with sandy. i got the decorations planned and almost totally set for the second room and outside in the smoking area. i have a few notions for the main room and 3rd room, but if shes got ideas i say go for it girl. im wicked excited about the 2nd room. give me a call and ill fill ya in. was also wonderin about hitchin a ride w. you soon.....call me! |

many people dont like trexx because its a gay bar,
and most of us are not gay. i know a few people who love EDM but they are totally turned off by trexx, and dont feel comfortable there.
im not saying change your venue, etc, im just saying when you have most cuse parties at gay bars, you are certainly excluding some EDM lovers.
that said i have had a good time at trexx in the past, but if i had a choice for events, i wouldnt be there |

Correct me if I am wrong and maybe things have changed in the two months since I have moved to Miami but isn't the Trexx crowd 80% straight now? I would have said 96% but the overall percentage is dropped due to the number of "Bi-Curious" Girls that hang out there.
I hope you and your friends decide to come out to the event. As promoters we don't look at it as a gay bar and to be honest we don't label venues and people as such. The reason we throw events there (and i believe I am speaking for all the promoters in the area) is look at the LAVA thread. You NEVER hear anything like that from any promoters when it comes to dealing with the owners at Trexx. They're honest, hard working guys and unlike other club owners appreciate what we can do for them and instead of the whole "Oh Shit I better call this techno promoter back after ignoring him for the past 6 months because my I tried to make the quick money by catering to the thug crowd and now I'm about to lose my club."
Sorry if i seems like I might have gone "overboard" in my response. You have the right to your opinion and I respect that. It just gets old after awhile to hear people saying the same thing. Trexx as been a permanent fixture in the Electronic Music Scene since Phat-O had his first after hours there over 15 years ago. It was a part of the scene before most of you and will be a part of the scene long after most of you are gone. In the end if you don't show up that's cool, you can hear about it from the other 400+ people that consistently show up for the Halloween Event.
I hope your friends don't catch "the gay" by coming to a dope ass party there.  |

| Why is it that everytime a party is booked at Trexx someone has to bitch about it being a gay bar? What's the big problem...are you a homophobe??? Yes there are some gay people there but most are straight as Dose says....Why can't you just come out, dance your face off and have a good time like everybody else??? |

Unfortunately I think we are a long way from our generation accepting people for who they are and not WHAT they are.
What I tell people that are sketpical about partying there is that when promoters throw a party there it is not an exclusive gay crowd at the club. It is a mix of everyone. A venue is just a venue and parties at Trexx are always sick. |
