i've actually considered building new rackmountable housings for my midi controllers into an all in one solution

wouldn't be too hard but the real issue would be either a. being able to machine it accurately at home or b. paying a sheet metal company to laser cut it for me

this one is pretty cool though as it's a fairly simple case mod you could accomplish with a decent rotary tool
