Posted - 04/02/2010 : 08:18:45 AM Ok ive got my saffire pro 24 recently, now im just wondering how to hook this up to a mixing board. the interface has like 8 outputs that are 1/4 inch. But i dont know if they are balanced or not. I was wondering if its normal to buy a couple y cables male 1/4 to rca male to route to the mixer inputs, one for the right deck one for the left deck, since most mixers only have rca inputs. On the other hand say the mixer only has 1/4 inputs then i could just route 2 1/4 patches out of the saffire outputs and into 2 different channels of the mixer. hope this makes some sense. I dont understand the whole balanced audio thing. I bought this interface hoping to be able to dj right away. Now im hearing that i might have to get another box to balance the signals or somthing, that would suck. |

Posted - 04/02/2010 : 08:43:31 AM the outputs are probably balanced 1/4's. Most soundcards have these as outputs.
you just need 2 balanced 1/4s to RCA cables. Don't buy adapters.
If you're just using 2 decks, then 2 cables from the 1st 2 sets of outputs to the RCA inputs on the DJ mixer.
