Alright, I think this has gone far enough... Since when has it become customary to take personal stabs at people for simply stating thier opinion about a party they don't think is a good idea? I completely agree with SMD - if you don't have anything good to say, don't say anything at all but let me ask you this... How many of you can honestly say you have bitten your tongue EVERY SINGLE time you have had something negative to say? Seriously tho... how many? While his wording may have been a bit harsh, I'm 100% sure he is not the only person who feels that way. I, for one, share the opinion this party is not a good idea. I AM a true party kid & while I have supported almost everything GAC has done over the past 8 years, you will NOT find me at this event. Opinions are like assholes, everyone has one but why be an asshole to the person who decides to voice his opinion??
I mean, I just can't believe some of the things I read on this board sometimes.. Whatever happened to Peace, Love, Unity & Respect?? Have some of you completely forgotten its meaning or did you just never truly understand the concept in the first place?

| no I'm just playing I'll drop it sorry to those that wanted to see a flame war but I really don't care. people had talked shite before Super$Mash too and that party was a blast. to those that don't have a sense of adventure and are too afraid to venture outside of Trexx, your loss. to all you thrillseekers out there that have the sense of adventure to explore and be daring which is the spirit which initially created the rave scene I respect you for that. You know what's up and I'll see you there. |

i dont get it.... how would mentioning plur start a battle?
EVERYTIME someone uses plur in a convo/arguement on nro it seems to turn into who's fault it is that plur doesn't exist or who's more plur than who blah blah blah... it's usually pretty stupid - but makes for like 30 page threads of the dumbest bullshite....
i personally think the "i'm more plur than you" arguement is the funniest thing i've ever heard!
back to the party...... i'm bringing bunches of kids from albany up to syracuse - i've been telling them for awhile that the drive is def. worth it so i hope this party is as awesome as past parties i've been to up there!! |

Basicly.. I love trexx.. It was my favorate place to go.. I think people give that place shitee for no reason. I still love it. So I refuse to say anything bad about it. It's apples and oranges. Moving on, I know I was partying for a LONG time.. But The Vibe Warehouse is by far cleaner, nicer and more intimate then some of the places I've had to crawl under fences and dodge roadblocks to get to. The owners and the staff of the place as well as the promoters are ALL about our scene and the events that are going on. As far as the price.. Ok, Let's look at this.. I believe it's $5 to get into trexx.. But there's no one headlining this sat night, so like I said, apples and oranges. So, let's go to somewhere more comparable.. hmmm.. Well, It used to be $7 to get into button's arcade to see ReRocco and Steve-E.. No headliner. Near the end it was $10 to see ReRocco and Dose.. No headliner. In a simalar neighborhood, with simalar lighing and sound. Now, here's an NYC import that has several licenced mixes with huge distibuters under his belt.. shitee I bought my first Wally CD at Media Play (remember that place), He's coming correct with loads of exclusive dubs and original production, things that you aren't going to hear from the hometown djs, no matter how dope thier mixing is. On top of that we are bringing together MCs and DJs as far as Albany and Rochester. We are doing that ALL for $10.. This is coming from people who bit big losses when they tried to bring huge shows to this area.. WODNB for $20 in Syracuse. SS for $10. Bassline Smith for $10. Countless Quikk Fixxes for under $20. HA! Maybe it's Silas', Mikey's and my fault for not charging what shows like that are worth. Instead we bite the losses. Most of the time, We are happy to entertain you. It may be gay.. but I'm just looking for the Nod somedays. But I'll be damned If I'm going to lose money and let someone event THINK of telling me I'm over charging. I'm not even finacially involved with this event but I do know that this is yet another event that is being undercharged. You may think I got a little nasty with my first comment. But, I did not attack anyone horribly. I did how ever get a little annoyed that instead of expressing a concern, bender decided to put his two cents in a negative way and call this the stupidest party idea ever.

Well.. Nikki.. You and I both know back when you and I were first going out to events.. we wouldn't dare shite on someones party like bender did. We were just happy to have a place to go that was playing our music. We remembered that when we first started going out if we wanted to go to ONE PARTY A MONTH then had better gas up the car and drive 4 or 5 hours. Mass, NYC, Detroit, Toronto were considered CLOSE. Now, theres something going on in our back yard and in pisses me off to see kids gripe. I gasp when I see utter disrespect to the companies that put thousands of thier own personal dollars on the line. Just to have people bitch.
Peace will come when people understand the work that goes into these events and stop bitching.. If people took an interest watched promoters flyering lot after lot.. driving from city to city.. If people showed some love, unified and supported the people that do these events that would happen. People just don't know where promoters are coming from. Cause when they fold.. we'll have no damn techno. |
