hey can u guys maybe suggest some of your favorite DnB artists to me?

Some DnB that i like alot is Aphrodite, DJ marky, and i espeacailly like DJ DARA FULL circle mix. I like DnB that isnt really dark but has some nice ambient, or nice vocals. im not sure how to classify or explain exactly what DnB i like. for some reason i explain the DnB i like as being very watery (like watery feel or somthing)

ahh i dunnno but im just hoping to get some arttists to check out.

I got a question, whats up with all these pathetic assholes that call themselves junglist DJ's and are pricks to anyone who doesnt spin d&b?
jungle is becoming so mainstream now, soon D&B songs will be on TRL. That'll be some funny shit.

As the the warm weather comes, so will my new mix cd "Synthetic Emotions" an enlightening blend of Hard Epic Trance.

Out soon from Circuit Recordings

keep yer ears and eyes open all the time when you are around record bins, listening stations- if you have time use em, ive found some of the nicest similar sounding dnb by just stumbling into it in some dusty old bin. i'll not rename artists-

dj our sound (i had to, this is the guy to ask! his records are edible! yum)
breakbeat era
klute
i kamanchi
danny c & matrix
westside chemical (san fran.)
roni size & reprazent
goldie 'timeless' LP
blu marten
moving fusion 'the start of something' LP
dj soulslinger 'ecosystem'mix
talvin singh

theres so much out there, (read knowledge magazine!) theres this nuscoolish superfiltered disco drum n bass going around that i think is pretty rad, if anybody knows about that, let me know!

i like jazz. so in electronic music I look for a style that is the best representative of the emotions evoked thru jazz during the mid 60s to late 70s (like miles (of course), don byrd (asshole+1), pepper adams, hancock, etc.) and even into some today...like cyrus chestnut, pat methany, roy haynes...
so basically I just happen to find more of that musical inflence in drum and bass and much early non-standardized jungle, and more of a connection to that stream of consciousness. thats not to say that other forms don't do this, but I am just really focused on drum and bass right now, and there is an emerging scene here in america, full of artists that are expressing themselves rather uniquely...check it out!in the next couple years, look for a new breed of american dnb artists that really push the level of expressiveness of their chosen electronic instruments.

peace, and good luck,
Jason
