i am not and was never booked to playing drum & bass. Unfortunately I have to be the one to let you know this is completely false advertising.
Contagious Musiq handles 100 % of my drum & bass bookings, and they were never contacted. the show was booked through Annalyze's agent Fused Management, who we enlisted to help out with our Cat Scratch Fever Tour, which consists of us playing a 2 x 4 Breaks Set and Anna scratching over my mixing.
i have not seen a single thing that would support that the promoter has made any attempt to let people know that REID SPEED WILL NOT BE PLAYING DRUM & BASS. if anything i have only seen it posted that i will, and i do not want to perpetuate false advertising.
so i have taken it upon myself to let you know.
i have worked extremely hard to get to this little place i have carved out for myself in this ultra-shady, ultra competitive DJ world. i have not worked this hard to let some promoter get away with promoting a show he has not paid for. as i said before, i have a legitimate booking agent who handles all my drum & bass bookings, and he was never contacted.
if i do not recieve a sincere apology & links confirming that the word is out that WE ARE PLAYING A BREAKS SET TOGETHER, from the promoter personally, i will be forced to cancel my appearance & send the deposit back. i feel i have no other options. either people will respect me and book me legitimately to play drum & bass, or i wont be there. i am not a bitch and i wont be taken advantage of, and neither should anybody considering paying for this party. if you want to hear us rock that shit, please let me know as well, as i need some feedback here.

| reid!! ofcourse you dont know who i am but you know my friends, Sekhmet and Tricky Pat. janet called me while she was with you at the WMC actually. since i didnt get to see you in burlington and have been looking foward to this event for a while, i dont care if you spin breaks or not i just hope you are there and playing your records!!! but i hope things work out and you can still be there, i hope i get to see you soon... |

I am amazed by this comment..
I've never delt with anyone who costs based on the set of records they bring. Nor anyone who has a set of agents per Genre of music. I didn't not even know people did this.
I was to originally to book Danny the Wildchild for the slot. While talking to him to work out a deal, I began to enlist the help of Fused in booking Josh the Funky 1 for his new tour and Annalyze. I was informed that i might be better off booking Reid Speed. I figured sure.. why not. Danny is cool with us and will play a later date. I don't know Reid personally so I might not get a chance to work with her. We went though everything and the deal was signed.
Fast forward 6 weeks..
I was told only days ago about this "Tour" by Annalyze via IM. I was told Reid was upset and wasn't playing Drum and Bass since then I have contacted the agent used for the booking, Fused Management. I have been working with Fused to get this straightened out. I booked Annalyze and Reid Speed to play seperate sets and I didn't know anything about a cat scratch fever tour. As I was told, They were playing DATES together.. Not sets and cetainly not breaks. I did nothing Malicious. So, I will not apologize for anything. What I can do is make it right..
I expect Bob from fused will have some type of comment up very shortly reguarding this situation as well as an apology if warrented. I have delt with fused many times and I am sure this must have been a communication break down. I'm just sorry Vibe 315 had to be at the losing end of it. But, in the mean time I would like to make this work. I don't see anything wrong with the arrangement you have listed. I am willing to make this work and I'm doing my part to make the show go according to plan with all the acts booked. The line up will be adjusted accordingly if needed. But I'm awaiting the final decision from management.
Oh BTW.. Stakka's in the country.. BOO YA! |

| honestly, reid speed was the one dj i was looking forward to seeing the most at this event... it upsets me to see the way she confronted everyone without first consulting todd or her agency... for such a professional dj i think that this was handled very immaturly, now this is based on what i know which probably isnt everything. i do know i will have fun reguardless of what happens with this whole issue peace... |

I was looking forward to Speid's set the most too. I figure since I don't have all the information I'll say little. Unfortunately Reid Speed didn't feel the need to supply the readers of this forum with more background information before assuming that Todd is simply trying to take advantage of her. ( I don't beleive that he is ).
