Posted - 04/28/2010 : 09:14:18 AM This is my basic DJ setup for the APC40 and Ableton Live 7.0. It consists of Ableton only effects and requires no VSTs/AUs to run. I would suggest using some sort of limiter on the master channel. I placed a Compressor on the master but prefer the sound of after-market VSTs personally. I use PSP Vintage Warmer 2 to get a much warmer sound on my master.
For each DJ set, I start with this then I will add effects that I feel will work with the set. So I did not include any send/return effects in this template. Use what you think works best for you.
