This is for Serato users, i ain't gonna lie...
About a year and a half ago... after using Root note detection software, i came up with a Color coding system within Scratch Live that allowed me to keep harmonically similar/ compatible songs together in groups.... I'm able to freestyle my sets and stay in key, without the nasty mess of jumping back and forth from SSL to my root detection software...
I pitched the idea to Rane, and it fell on deaf ears. As they have plenty of fish to fry with the new release of Serato 2.0 (and plenty of bugs to feex, especially with the Ableton bridge coming out in the next major release) i figured i'd divulge my little secret on the world starting here on UUnet, and maybe the idea will spread a little...
Just a quick FYI, YOU NEED POWERPOINT TO VIEW THIS FILE!!!... get something that can view PPT files. This is the copy of the pitch i sent them, explaining how it works, it's development, and the advantages of it...
