Kristen, dont be stupid. again, let me point this out to you. if an MC is booked with a dj, for example. "I Spin Crap feat. MC I wont shut my mouth", unless youve been asked to perform with someone else you shouldnt be on. When dj's get booked normally they get a set time to preform, they dont play over everyone elses set... its trivial nonsense and overall just a matter of people being rude or not. it has nothing to do with being an MC. to make my point further apparent here is another example, someones playing. then said hippie comes in with a drum and starts banging over the set, you cant hear the music and the beat gets all thrown off. bottom line is that you dont jump in on someones performance without consulting. its rude. understand or do we need to go back to cubby holes and nap time? :p
I agree.. If they are the MC of the night, it may be different, as they have been asked to host the event.
Actually SP I was just thinking about how crappy I felt when I tried to give you a shout out on the mic @ Pop Secret and all I got was feedback. =/ |

Few things
Thanks to everyone who attended and helped out.. The list is huge on this one with everyone that made a conscience effort to lend a hand..
All the sound guys, Riki, Craig, zoot kep the night pumping in high gear and were on top of any issues the whole night..
Dj sets were all rocking even those I didnt get to enjoy to many besides fixx and a little of hellfire and some of Drei, Vogel n Howhard and Depth.. Everyone room held an ambience that was missing in other events of the past.. Def could feel the love in every room you went into..!!
Didn't End up holding the costume contest because well.. Nobody really was in costume besides bender and nikki lol.. Try to have at least 10 contestents before we hold any contests..
its really nice to see so many people coming out and enjoying fresh music... Good poeple and loads of laughs..
Wondering where all the CANDY Kids be @ tho.. Damn
Rocco.. another solid banger that proves the scene is still alive and kicking.. in the Club and elsewhere..

First off I wanna say that in every room I went into throughout the night, there was always great mixing going on, whether or not I liked the Music. Depth Live PA was DOPE (and it was nice meeting him) Vogel and Howhard were disgusting despite a small sound problem in the beginning (Gomer nice to meet you) not that we should have expected anything less out of those 2 maniacs. Being a dubstep fan, Hellfire killed it in my opinion, upsetting me a pbit because they played alot of tracks i have been practicing with, but hey there isnt too much AMAZING dub out there (nice running into and meeting them with Rerocco and DINO BBQ before the show. Phungeyes PSY in the back room was tough as f*ck, but he already knows hes nasty with the psy.
MC's : I understand peoples beef, I dont like MCs either, but like Kristen said, theyre booked......you knew it......you came......deal with it. Props to them for standing up there and spittin it like they do.
Mikey, good fuc*kin shit. Lets keep the ball rolling.

Good times. You could definetly feel the old rave vibe in Trexx friday night for sure. Good seeing alot of people come out of the woodwork for some hard beats as well.
The hardstylers are a really great crew. Positive vibes and great sets all night from them. Caught a little of Depth, DA's and Phungeye's sets and they all did a great job as well.
Had some sound issues during my set but it was a great pleasure to play with How Hard in my backyard for my extended family!!
The MC's are what they are guys so everyone will have to deal with it. I dont mind them in the confines of their own djs. My 2 cents.

YA I Sincerely Apologize about that guys.. its gonna have t happen for 1 more event too.. Because I already pre booked 3 rooms.. Al came at me the day of the party saying he didn't know it was 3 rooms.. Which really makes no sense cause he had the flyer for months..
im gonna bring a space heater for the room next time myself.. I don't know why they didnt allow that.. Hopefully by march 5th the outdoor patio can be opened..

I had fun for the short amount of time I was actually in Trexx. I feel like I played the best I ever have during my slot :) It's nice to come off and be satisfied. Sadly, I didn't get to see any else set other than a little bit of Zoot n Marz. I ended up not feeling so well and spending the remainder of the night in my car :(
About the smoking room, I had a feeling that was gonna happen because there were people smoking indoors before we got started. I do smoke, and I like to smoke during a set, but it's not worth it for my satisfaction to have others endure a cancer filled room just to listen, or to play, music. Why is the patio "closed"? Just open the damn door and let people out there? |
