As founder and director of Vinyl Beat Productions, Sean Place, has made a large impact on the Upstate NY area in a short time. Working diligently as a DJ and promoter, Sean has pumped crowds week to week for 2 years entertaining on lineups with local and international talent. Such artists include Angel Alanis, Micro, Jelo, Josh the Funky 1, Gonzo, Sykopath, Myth I-S, Stakka, Reid Speed, Rob Gee, Annalyze, Jesse Saunders, Knowledge, James Miller Jr., Pish Posh, Pleasurehead, Capital J, Havok, Scottie B, HowHard, Integrity, Poogie Bear, Portia Surreal, Evol Intent, and Datcyde just to name a handful. Along side colleague Dj Kemp, Vinyl Beat has hosted “Digital Fusion” at Trexx nightclub for over a year showcasing some of the areas hottest Dj’s every Thursday night. Due to their hard work, determination, and love for dance music this duo has made Digital Fusion the most popular and respected underground music weekly in the area. This pair, also known as “SPK”, have spun some of the most memorable sets in recent Upstate history with their soulfully bangin techno/tech-house track armada and unrivaled energy. Listening and studying electronic music since ’94 has made him a scholar in his own time, standing up to long time veterans on the tables and being seen as equal. Sean takes inspiration and absorbs power from the beats he controls and the crowd. Using this energy he electrifies the dance floor, unleashing one unforgettable set after another.
